A DX air conditioning system uses a single-speed compressor and supply fan that relies on cycling the compressor on and off to maintain indoor air temperature. This on-off cycling causes wear on the compressor and reduces its lifespan. A MIMO control system measures indoor air temperature and moisture levels to simultaneously control both compressor speed and supply fan speed. This allows for improved dehumidification control compared to a traditional on-off system.
