Molarity vs. Normality Explained by Rahul Kumar is a document available to read on EtoBox.
What is Molarity vs. Normality Explained about?
Molarity and normality both describe the concentration of substances in solution, but they measure different things. Molarity measures the number of moles of solute per liter of solution. Normality measures the number of equivalents, or reactive units, per liter. In acid-base reactions, normality specifically measures protons or hydroxide ions. Normality can be a multiple of molarity. In redox reactions, normality is calculated based on the numbers of electrons donated or accepted in the reaction.
