This document describes a study of dinoflagellates from the orders Prorocentrales and Dinophysiales in the Veracruz Reef System of Mexico. A total of nine species from four genera were identified: Dinophysis was represented by three species; Prorocentrum by three species; Phalacroma by two species; and one species of Ornithocercus.
