The Government of West Bengal has issued a memorandum to provide benefits to casual/daily rated workers who have been engaged for at least 10 years and worked a minimum of 240 days per year. These workers will be allowed to continue until the age of 60, receive a minimum remuneration of Rs. 6,600 per month with a 5% increase every three years, and a one-time cessation benefit of Rs. 1 lakh upon reaching retirement age.
