The arrogant princess Rosamada turned down many suitors because none were rich or handsome enough for her. She fell in love with a very handsome man and married him, but on their honeymoon at his forest castle she discovered he was actually the devil in disguise, with horns, hooves, claws and other devilish features. She realized she was being punished for her arrogance, and though rescued, she died sick six months later.
