This study presents a two-stage semi-continuous fermentation process for the efficient production of hyaluronic acid (HA) using Streptococcus zooepidemicus, achieving a maximum titer of 29.38 g/L and a productivity of 1.13 g/L/h. The addition of recombinant hyaluronidase significantly reduced broth viscosity, enhancing HA production. This method offers a promising strategy for industrial HA production, addressing challenges related to low titer and productivity in traditional fermentation methods.
