This study evaluated the safety of placing pedicle screws without imaging guidance during revision spinal surgery. 552 screws were placed in 37 patients, with 184 in virgin levels, 60 through previous screw holes, 208 in fusion masses, and 100 in pseudarthrosis levels. Intraoperatively, 6 screws were removed and 4 repositioned due to electromyography findings, and postoperatively 5 screws were misplaced.
