What is Pinkerton about?

Pinkerton, a pink and plump pig, always wants to be first. During a beach trip with his Pig Scout troop, Pinkerton runs ahead when he hears a voice offering a sandwich. He finds a small creature named Sandwitch, who lives in the sand. Sandwitch makes Pinkerton do all her chores before telling him a bedtime story, teaching him that first is not always best. Pinkerton realizes he has learned a lesson and hurries to catch the bus, happy to be last in line for once.
