Can I read Deformation studies of Ni55Fe19Ga26 ferromagnetic shape memory alloy on EtoBox?
Deformation studies of Ni55Fe19Ga26 ferromagnetic shape memory alloy by Aniruddha Biswas; Madangopal Krishnan is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Deformation studies of Ni55Fe19Ga26 ferromagnetic shape memory alloy about?
Ni-Fe-Ga-based alloys form a new class of Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloys. The problem of brittleness of the Ni-Mn-Gabased alloys can largely be overcome in case of Ni-Fe-Ga-based ones by introducing a disordered fcc J-phase. The current study explores thermo-mechanical processing of this alloy using an off-stoichiometric Ni 55 Fe 19 Ga 26 alloy containing the ductile Jphase. Hot-rolling of Ni 55 Fe 19 Ga 26 alloy was carried out at 950 0 C and 1000 0 C, both with and without mild steel jacket. The microstructure of the hot-rolled products was analyzed in detail. Microtexture analyses were carried out both for the L2 1 and the J-phase independently using Electron Back-Scattered Diffraction technique.
