A rhenium(I) tris-carbonyl complex was created as a Single Core Multimodal Probe for Imaging (SCoMPI) that enables bimodal imaging of the Golgi apparatus. This probe combines luminescence and infrared spectroscopic detection for detailed organelle-level imaging, leveraging strong IR absorption and visible phosphorescence.
