What is RS-232/422/485 Modem Handshake Controller about?
The BAMHC provides hardware handshake control for modems requiring an RTS line to control transmission. It buffers up to 160 characters while waiting for the modem to be ready, for a user-selectable time of 5, 10, or 50 ms. Connections to a host device are via a DB-25 connector, while an RS-232 modem connects to a DB-25 male connector. Dip switches and jumpers allow configuration of serial parameters and duplex mode. Power is provided via a 12V DC source using no more than 65mA.
