The urgency of vaccination with pneumococcal vaccines is considered both for an isolated forms & combined course of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) especially with coronary heart disease (CHD) & congestive heart failure (CHF). Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of vaccinal prevention of 13-valent conjugate pneumococcal vaccine (PCV13) in patients with COPD and CHF. Material and methods: 429 male patients with COPD, CHD & CHF were included in the study. The average age of the studied groups was 61.64 ) years. The main endpoints of five-year observation for evaluation of effectiveness were: 1) dyspnea dynamics according to mMRC 2) FEV1 3) left ventricular ejection fractions 4) 6-MT 5) functional class CHF 6) number of exacerbations 7) hospitalizations 8) number of pneumonia. 13-valent conjugated pneumococcal vaccine Prevenar-13 was used for vaccinal prevention. Results and conclusions: An increase in the functional class of heart failure occurs with the increase of the clinical symptoms of the respiratory system.
