This document is a project report submitted by five students to fulfill the requirements of a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering. The report describes the design and fabrication of perpendicular turbines that can be installed on trains to harness wind energy from the movement of the train and convert it to electricity. The project was carried out over the period of January 2007 to May 2008 under the supervision of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering department.
