What is Parañaque about?

The city of Parañaque in Metro Manila is phasing out single-use plastics by prohibiting their use in all business locations starting next year, per Ordinance No. 18-40. Styrofoam, plastic bags, and plastic food/drink containers will be banned as they pollute the environment. Violators will face fines and business license suspensions. Other cities in the National Capital Region have instituted similar bans on plastics.
