What is Understanding Interaction Design (IxD) about?

Interaction design (IxD) aims to create connections between people and products. It is defined as "the connection and conversation between people and a product." There are five elements of IxD: words, visual, space, time, and behavior. The five core concepts are: goal driven design, usability, affordances and signifiers, learnability, and feedback and response time. IxD founder Bill Moggridge and others have helped establish IxD as a field focused on how products work based on these elements and concepts.
