What is Response to Antioxidant Dietary Supplements during Radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer about?
to 70 Gy increased the 5-year toxicity risk (OR = 2.5; p = 0.03). In the 80 Gy pts series, univariate analysis shows bladder wall volumes (in %) receiving between 39 Gy (V39) to 45Gy (V45), as well as V51 increased the risk of grade $ 2 toxicity and hematuria (p\0.05). The RR for grade $ 2 bladder toxicity was 4.2 if V43.50%, median value of V43 being 54% (p = 0.05). Entire bladder volume, trigone ''2'' and ''3'' DVHs (in either % and cc) were not correlated with toxicity or hematuria. Conclusions: Use of ACT increased the risk of both late toxicity and hematuria, while high dose and diabetes increased late grade $ 2 bladder toxicity. Bladder wall DVHs (in % only and not in entire volume) correlates with toxicity. Bladder sub-volumes such as the trigone don't improve dose-volume correlation.
