Pin-Fin Structures Enhance Pool Boiling Heat Transfer by Ghaith moneem is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study examines the pool boiling heat transfer of Novec 649 on structured copper surfaces featuring pin-fin designs with varying heights and spacings. The results indicate that these structures significantly enhance the heat transfer coefficient (HTC) and critical heat flux (CHF), with improvements of up to 10 times and 2.8 times, respectively, compared to smooth surfaces. The findings suggest that while the HTC per unit wetted area decreases with tighter pin fin spacing, the overall thermal resistance
