This story took place about five years ago when the narrator was returning home from a holiday in Turkey on a flight with friends. While they were sitting on the plane after take-off, there was a loud bang from the right side of the plane and smoke came from one of the engines. The pilot then announced over the PA system that they would need to return to the airport due to an engine problem. They landed safely after about ten minutes and had to wait an hour before continuing their flight on a different plan
