What is Review of McElroy Hiring Process at TAMU about?

The document summarizes an internal review by the Office of General Counsel into the failed hiring of Dr. Kathleen McElroy at Texas A&M University. It found that while Dr. McElroy was initially offered a tenured position, concerns were later raised by some members of the Board of Regents regarding her advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a result, her appointment was changed to a non-tenure track position without her knowledge, which led to her withdrawing from the role.
