About this document
Neurological Changes in Aging by Leigh Brioso is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Physiological changes occur in many systems as people age: 1. Neurologically, delirium and dementia become more common, and memory and motor function decline. 2. Cardiovascular changes include decreased efficiency and output of the heart as well as increased blood pressure. 3. Lungs lose elasticity and alveoli decrease in number but increase in size, decreasing respiratory function. 4. Other changes include reduced function of the eyes, ears, skin, bones, muscles, immune and endocrine systems.
