What is Mozart about?
The Piano Concerto No. 8 in C major, K. 246 was written by Mozart in 1776. It was composed for Countess Antonia Lützow, an accomplished pianist. The concerto has three movements - Allegro, Andante, and Rondeau Tempo di Minuetto. It is scored for solo piano and orchestra including oboes, horns, and strings. Mozart later performed the concerto himself and used it for teaching students of varying abilities by providing different difficulty cadenzas.
