The overexpression, purification and characterization of 4-amino-5-hydroxymethyl-2-methylpyrimidine kinase (HMP kinase) and 4-amino-5-hydroxymethyl-2-methylpyrimidine monophosphate kinase (HMP-P kinase) ate described.
