This study analyzed the genetic diversity of eight sapota germplasm using RAPD markers at Patuakhali Science and Technology University, revealing a total of 45 bands with 42.12% polymorphism. The highest genetic distance was found between Gp-1 and Gp-9, while the highest similarity was between Gp-2 and Gp-9, Gp-4 and Gp-15. The research highlights the potential for using molecular markers to assess genetic variability in sapota for breeding programs.
