Canada had the sixth most expensive health care system among Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries, with total health spending at 10.1% of GDP, compared to Korea at only 6.3% and the U.S. with the highest at 15.7%. Canada, however, ranks low on the scale when measuring availability of medical resources and services.
