This chapter analyzes excerpts from conversations among Romanian women to examine if they emphasize positive politeness more than men. The analysis looks at both micro-level linguistic variables and macro-level sociological variables. The study aims to fill gaps in understanding spoken Romanian by investigating gender differences in conversations among same-sex and mixed groups of Romanian men and women.
