What is ITIL Organizational Structure Overview about?
ITIL provides guidance but not a model for organizational structure. Each volume discusses roles and responsibilities in chapter 6. Roles can be filled by multiple people or one person can fill many roles, as long as there are no gaps. A RACI matrix defines who is responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed for each activity, with only one role being accountable and many roles being responsible, consulted, or informed.
