This report summarizes progress made from July to December 1980 on assessing the feasibility of filtering molten metals. Research was conducted on filtering aluminum, steel, and superalloys to remove impurities. The mathematical model for predicting filtration kinetics was further developed to apply to higher steel and superalloy temperatures.
