## EMIL MONTAG EMIL MONTAC (15 August 1875-8 February 1960) was one of the rapidly-diminishing band of amateur geologists to whom our science has owed much. Although residenr in England for more than 60 years and married to an English wife, he retained his Swiss citizenship. He came of a highly respected Winterthur family engaged in commerce and industry.
