What is Ariane Evald - 2021 - Soil Attributes Under Different Water Management Systems of Rice Paddies in The Amazonian Savanna of Brazil about?

This study evaluates soil properties in rice paddy areas under various water management systems in the Amazonian savanna of Brazil. The research found that different irrigation methods did not significantly affect certain soil attributes, but soil microbial biomass and enzyme activities were lower compared to a control area. The findings suggest that water management practices influence soil quality, particularly in terms of organic carbon and nutrient availability.
