TRSO: Ontology-Based Tourism Recommender by Diego Stalin Merino is a document available to read on EtoBox.

What is TRSO: Ontology-Based Tourism Recommender about?

This document proposes TRSO, a tourism recommender system based on ontology. It first constructs a tourism attraction ontology with 10 classes to provide a conceptual model. It then uses association rules to identify related users to avoid sparse matrices in collaborative filtering. A hybrid recommendation approach integrates results from different algorithms using time, evaluation, and ontology factors. Experiments show the proposed system achieves satisfactory recommendation performance.
