About this document

JTAC 2002 lactoseDSC by Josemar Santos is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study evaluates the capability of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) for determining the crystallinity of α-lactose monohydrate, comparing it with conventional X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD). Results indicate that DSC can effectively assess crystallinity in samples with over 20% amorphous content, while XRPD is more accurate for samples with higher crystallinity. The findings suggest that DSC is a viable method for semi-quantitative evaluation of lactose crystallinity in pharmaceutical application
