Aortoiliac endarterectomy (AIE) is presented as a durable surgical alternative to bypass for women and patients with small native vessels suffering from isolated aortoiliac occlusive disease. The study, based on a retrospective review from 2006 to 2023, shows promising outcomes with a primary patency of 89% at 36 months and overall survival of 94%.
