What is Impact of Contrast Inversion on Endodontic Measurements about?
The study evaluated the accuracy of measuring endodontic file lengths on digital radiographs with and without contrast inversion enhancement. Forty teeth were imaged digitally with files placed in the root canals. File lengths were directly measured as the gold standard and compared to measurements on original and enhanced digital images. There were significant differences between the direct measurements and those on both original and enhanced images, with both sets of digital images overestimating length.
